I recently did a full/new install of XP-Pro on another older computer. I did NOT create a password on the new install, <-I never do. I got it customized the way I 'like'. I went into Control Panel/User Accounts & created another administrator account. Now, I cannot find the original account where I made my customizations. The name I entered for install does not show up anywhere. It had to be admin as I made system-wide changes (?) (installation). I spent hours 'fine tuning' this install.

Can I find the original account?

Do I have to go through this customizing all again??

(I dont know what I was thinking when I created another admin) (experementing, I guess?)

You may have better luck on a forum dedicated to XP support. I know there is one on Bleeping Computer.

If you have more than one account on the machine then pressing control-alt-delete then sign out, should bring up a choice of available accounts. I believe by default on XP the basic operator account is named Owner and the administrative account is named Administrator.
