Adobe Flash Player in Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 11 is not worki

Hi: I have tried everything I can think of and have been searching the web for help with this. Adobe Flash Player is on my computer but I cannot open a file with (Adobe Flash Player) when I can assist other programs to open my file but NOT Adobe!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Turned off Active x.
When I try to open one of my files I see the following screen:
I cannot get it pasted here sorry!

As I read your question you have a local file on your computer your wanting to open it in flash player ?

Where did this file come from and how did you capture it,

Shockwave element commonly know as flash player is for Youtube content for the most part but allot of website also use it,
Can you watch youtube videos ?

It is a file I have had for quite some time that I used to use Adobe Flash Player to open and play the video. Likely I got it from You Tube as I have often done that When I try to open it now it won't open at all and I see a message which I cannot copy or paste in here. "We're Sorry. In order to view a video, you must have the latest version of Macromedia's Flash Player installed on your local computer. Sometimes, problems with a Flash Player that is already installed can prevent your upgrading to the latest versions."

Hi thanks,
Right click the file and click on Properties,
Detail section and see what the file extension is,
Right click it again and click on open with and browser for Internet explorer,
C/ Program Files/ Internet explorer/ iexplore.exe
Uncheck the box to always open this file type with ie this would just be for a test,

Hi Thrashzone: I right clicked - Properties and it is a MHTML Document (.mht) and opens with Internet Explorer. I could not follow or get to the place to remove the check mark -C:?Program Files/Internet Explorer/ieexplor.exe.

Adobe Flash Video Player - NOT WORKING

Hi: No the file I have been trying to open will NOT PLAY/OPEN!! IT is kind of weird as I do see Adobe Flash Player when I go to Control Panel/Programs and Features.- but if I go to the list of Default Programs when I try to open the file with another Program (OPEN WITHJ) it is not there! How can I get it to show up in available Default Programs?
I had trouble with this Adobe Flash Player back in May or June and I found some help on the web at that time where I was given two files to down load and save on a disk - Uninstaller and then a new Installer. It worked back then but I have tried the same thing now but no luck!!!
I just tried to copy and paste the file in here but it will not allow me to do so. If you would send me your personal email I could send it there or at least I think I could. Yes I could do this as I just was able to email it to myself but of course I still get the same message about not being able to open it.
It used to open when I saved it on my computer.

Hi you can put the file in a Zip folder and upload it here ?
I uninstalled flash so I can't verify the exact location at the moment give me a few minutes to download it again

Hi,
C/ Windows/ System32/ Macromed/ Flash,
The file should be the only one with a flash player symbol FlashUtil64_15_0_0_167_ActiveX this seems to be the .exe file
Like I said before on the first screen it should show a box to Uncheck on the bottom left I believe so if it's not the correct or does not work all file type won't be effected by the file type switch until confirmed it works

Hi: How do I put the file in a Zip Folder? Are you talking about WinZip? I don't have that on my computer at this time. You will have to give me some more instructions for this. I did email it to my self and it came through okay.

Hi where ever the file is located open that location/ My Videos or where ever,
On the Menubar which will show up if you press the Alt key on your keyboard,
Then File/ New/ Zip Folder,

You can also Right click a blank spot any where on the main page and on the list click on New and click on Zip folder,
Right click the file you want inside the zip folder and click on Copy,
Right click the Zip folder and click on Paste.
Open a reply and use the paper clip and browser to where the zip folder is and click on the zip folder and click on Upload,
Click on Close this window on the top right when the upload completes,
Click on the reply page where you want the attachment to be and click on the paperclip down arrow and click on I believe insert attachment

Hi: I tried to do this but I don't know if I did it correctly or not? I got to the last part where I was to click on reply page and click on PAPERCLIP?????? Did you receive this?
Also can you tell me how to put Adobe Flash Player in my Default Programs? I see it in Control Panel/Programs and Features. But it is NOT available when I click "OPEN WITH" to change what a file opens with.

Well it didn't take long,
944 kb this is just a shortcut to a youtube video that was most likely removed so the link doesn't work anymore,
A search of youtube found may video but nothing for the exact title
rainbow's at Devils Throat _avi _may 06 videos from south america videos on webshots

Hi: Thanks!!! I did know that I could not find it on You Tube any more but I did not know that if I had it saved on my computer that I could lose it!!
Can you help me with getting Adobe Flash Player to SHOW UP IN MY DEFAULT PROGRAMS? If I click to change what a file opens with IT IS NOT LISTED THERE!!
