I have Windows 7 64 bit and I am having trouble installing Adobe Flash. I looked on the Adobe site and it tells me to go to Start and select IE 32 bit. I have two programs of IE. One is clealy marked 64 bit and the other should be 32 bit. However no matter which version I select the 'About' states that they are both 64 bit.
I'm not sure what to do now but the bottom line is that I need Flash but do not know how to install it.
Has anyone any ideas please?
Thanks
Dave :(

Hi Dag,

Lets try another way of opening the 32 bit version of IE, just to be sure:

1. Click the Start Orb
2. In the search box, type Internet Explorer
3. In the list that appears, you should see two IE's listed:
- the 64 bit one
- one without 64 in its name
- you might see other IE's depending on if you have add-ons to IE
4. Right-click on the one without the 64 in its name, and select Properties

In the properties panel, check the path : does it show (x86) as shown in this image? If so, then that is the 32 bit version of IE, and the one that you should open.

For security reasons, I strongly recommend only downloading Adobe Flash directly from the Adobe site.

Hope this helps,
Golden

Thanks for the reply. Neither program has x86. This is what I tried to explain originally.
Thanks

Mmm OK Dag. Odd.

If you browse to the location shown below, does it look similar to that shown below? If so, can you run the iexplore in this folder location as shown here?

Golden

Hi,

OK. What happens if you open IE9 this way, and then try the Flash install?
