Solved Adobe website pages keep reloading - Anybody else seeing this?

I know of one other of "my usual" sites that uses DOM storage for cookies but it doesn't stop me from navigating the site or posting. It quit storing my user/password a few years ago and I could never figure out why. One day, I decided to turn DOM Storage back on and like magic, the site was storing my password again. I turned it back off after that but at least I knew why. I don't have a problem getting to TechNet with it off. Sites should not "crash" because it's turned off. It's a user controlled option. The Adobe pages keep showing a "navigation occurred" in the DOM window then the loop occurs so it's a bug in the pages. I don't touch anything so it's not me navigating. Nothing new for Adobe.

I'm sure not parceling out 10MB to every site and it's not very secure. I'm leaving it off.

Thanks for help. If you turn DOM off and get the same loop, I'll mark the thread solved.

Well, it's not just DOM Storage although that helped a little. I get the full page (not black anymore) but it still loops. I went back to Debugger and the last entry made before the loop back is shown below.

XMLHttpRequest for [URL]https://wwwimages2.adobe.com/index.loggedin.json[/URL] required Cross Origin Resource Sharing (CORS).

This is nothing I can fix on my end as far as I know. Isn't this a server problem?
Looks like a HTML5 coding error.

Added: And I'm not even trying to login so I don't why the page is executing that.

I agree dom storage is not the issue,
I don't have any tracking stuff so I would still say that's the problem besides SAS to get rid of tracking stuff which SAS comes up clean after visiting the Adobe site so I have to believe what ever tracking list you've added it's overreacting
Or SAS is underreacting

All that's left is Active x filtering and whether it's being activated or not ?

As I mentioned before, Active X filtering has been off.

I checked and there's no private entries for tracking but I have three "boxed" lists. One each from Abine, Easy Privacy and Microsoft. So if that's the problem, Adobe can go pound salt. I'm not lowering my standards for one site. I can do without accessing their web pages. Thanks for helping me walk through this. I can't rep you since I just gave one on the links so I owe you one.

I'll review some of the other settings later but like I said, this is the only site where the problem shows up. And, it's been a while since I tried to view them so they changed something. Sorta like this site last week--The Attachments from Quick Reply quit working for a few days until it was fixed.

Hi,
Any time you see a debug report that shows Tracking protection.. you need not look any further than the tracking lists you've added as where the issue lies

There are no other settings in ie that will apply or fix it

There's a couple of settings like third-party cookies, trusted sites and such but perhaps you're right. My point is that a site shouldn't crash or loop because of it. Those tracking cookies shouldn't be mandatory and the fact that they may be in a known list of intrusive users says enough. So in my opinion, the site is faulty or malevolent. That's ok, I don't need it. I'm not letting them drop cookies on my PC from every whomever that gives them a penny. It's no different than blacklisted servers or IPs--They'll have to earn back trust.

Windows will continue to be scorned for security as long as nobody wants to take a stand. The tools are there. It's smart to use them in this age of the Internet. If Adobe's site traffic dropped off, I bet they would look at why and make a change.

Hi,
I'm not defending Adobe
I rarely visit the site and is one reason I do not use ie11 because of flash support.
I'll stick with ie10

I only allow Flash on a couple of sites so am I missing something?

Point is I don't believe flash can be uninstalled from ie11 if it existed when you installed ie11.

I used to have flash for youtube, but the other day I had a problem with playback and uninstalled. Seems html5 works alright. But then had to re-install it due to speedtest site. How can I disable it for other sites?

In Internet explorer ?
In ie11 it's listed as a browser add-on in the Run without permission section of Show.
Disable it.
Or you can open Flash player in the control panel listing and adjust it there to Prompt you before allowing sites to save files... on your computer
Or Never save files to your computer which is what I would choose if there was no uninstall option like in win-10.

You can uninstall it from P&F or simply disable it in Manage Addons in IE-11.

@GokAy - If you already allowed it for all sites, right click on the entry in Manage Addons and click on More Information. Click on the Remove ALL and Close/OK out. An option bar will appear at the bottom of the IE-11 window the next time a site requests Flash. If you click on Allow, it puts that site into the accept list and the bar will not appear again for that site. If you click on Allow All, you loose control. To ignore the request don't do anything or click the X to the right of the choice to close the bar. I got over the nag for this and it's easy for me to ignore or close the bar but at least I have control over which sites can use Flash.

Old thread, but I am having the same issue with the Adobe site; continuous reload. Win 7, 64. Not happening anywhere else.
