Hello,

I have made a shortcut to connect ADSL Broadband connection. Everytime, when I change the option to `use for anyone on the computer', the password field gets blank. Each time I have to reset the
use for anyone on this computer option and password.

Have anyone of you gone through this kind of problem or have got some solution for it. Thanks in advance

When you change the option from "Only me" to "Anyone on this computer" the password gets blank indeed, it always did. You just have to retype it.

But the proper behaviour should be that...if you retype it and connect one time, the next times it should be saved.

Are you experiencing this problem while you're the only one logged on, or you have multiple user accounts connecting? Maybe from within each user account, you should manually type at least once the password. If it doesn't work this way, and you want to use a connection for many user accounts, log on to each account and create a connection from each of them having "Only me" as the option. This should work.

Dear Limneos

Thanks for the prompt reply. As mentioned by you, when I type and connect once, it is saved for me only. Unlike in windows-xp, if you have choosen `for anyone on the comuter', it gets activated for all of the user on the computer. Each users were not required to retype the password. Also, I found that each user has to type once the password, and next time it is saved for them only. thanks. Also, it takes some time on the ADSL BB to get the menu showing "registering your computer on the network" while compared to windows-xp, where it was done instantly onthe click of the mouse.

thanks
