Advanced Boot Options not showing up

Hello forum. I am having some problems with my PC. First off, I'm having a problem with the new ATI catalyst drivers and games. I get a lot of artifacts in the games such as MW3 and I've tried everything from uninstalling to searching the registry for entries about ATI and AMD.

Thats not why I'm here though. I want to try a factory restore. I've backed up all my important information so I'm ready. The problem is when I press F8 at boot, I get no options.

My PC - a Dell Inspiron One 2305 did not come with any disc.

If it helps I had to do a factory restore before when I had a bad virus. I had to use a program called EasyBCD

Isn't there any partition on your HDD holding a factory recovery?

After than, and only after that, let me know if you have any questions that were not covered in that tutorial and/or the links therein.

See if you can run Factory Recovery from within Win7, looking at your Dell listings in All Programs. If not make sure you're following the steps exactly in Dell Restoring Your Computer´s Software to the Factory Settings.

Try making your Recovery disks also from within All Programs>Dell.

In some cases you can restore a missing F8 Recov link: Dell Recovery Partition - restoring F8 link

If not your choices are to order Recovery Disks from Dell or Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Sorry guys, things have gotten much worse. I'm going to make a new post about the problems I'm experiencing.

You give up too quickly. Most times the disk is simply not being booted correctly. That's likely what the error means since it's trying to boot into the OS which needs repair.

Make sure you have the latest Win7 installer ISO burned to DVD using the tool provided in the Clean Reinstall tutorial I linked earlier and it is set to boot correctly: How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD

Then work through Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.
