Advice on creating new start orb

Morning all, i want to make it my task for the day to create a new start orb, i have bee watching lots of vids on youtube as well as reading the tut on here but must admit it sounds kinda confusing. I dont actually have photoshop and was wondering if it was possible to use a different app. Im looking to create an orb with the icon below.

But i think that only changes your start orb does this program actually create an ord for you from an image?

Can i restore the default orb if im not happy? and do i need the tool below as well or does the 1st link do it all?

That tool was meant to change,not create. In the tutorial,he use adobe photoshop to create the start button. and use the software to change the start button.

Use this nifty tool guys! (Assuming you provide the image for the orb.)

Scan it b4 unzipping if you think it's a virus.

Thanks again everyone, i have downloaded the trial of PS but im still having trouble creating my own, i guess im a PS noob really but i do really wanna crack it! is there anyone around the forums that would do some requests? I would really like an xbox orb but my patience is running out, i cant even get the guide line to come up in ps to seperate the orb into 3 sections how dum am i lol

Yes you can restore and it does all the work needed from creating the orb and installing it through to exporting it for others to use. No graphics skills necessary and certainly no messing about with Photoshop!

It really has everything you need to turn you into an instant Orb genius!
