No it does not and I'm not sure why that member even posted that info. Any SSD would more then likely work just fine in your system even if it was the newest SATA standard, SATA III (3) which is 6GBs transfer rate instead of SATA II (2) 3GBs transfer rate that your system supports. Most if not all drives are backward compatible and the only time I have seen systems that aren't able to use SATA III drives are made by Apple, Mac computers, and only when a SATA III SSD is installed in the Optical bay of Mac notebook (Apple has limited the transfer speed of there notebooks on the interface the optical drive is normally on).

So no matter what SSD you buy it should work without problem in your system. But there is always the exception.

Sam 49 a ssd will work great on your system. Pick a brand with a good warranty and as large as you can afford. You will love it.

Hi to you all

I have opened up my case which it’s a NZXT not sure what the model is but it is the one with the door on the front to access the cd drive.


I have cleaned all the fans and they are all now free of dust including the PSU, the noise has improved a little but it’s still there.


I have included a photo of my PSU and a photo of my CPU fan I think this is just the stock Intel cooler and it now might be time to change it.


One thing I noticed is when I have the case laid on its back with the CPU uppermost as in the photo and I grip the cooler fan with my fingers it has about 2 to 3 centimetres up and down movement thats just the fan blade.


So is this movement normal or is that my problem


So will you look at the spec for my PSU if that’s what you ask for?


And I am about to order a SSD so any ideas on a reliable make.


By the way after running the progrm Speccy it states my CPU is running at 38C and the motherboard is at 30C and the GeForce is running at 43C

Are these temp ok

SSD brands: Samsung, Crucial, Intel.

You say the CPU fan has 2 to 3 centimeters of movement. That's about one inch. Are you sure of that measurement? Any movement should be very very small, not one inch.

The Intel cooler and fan works quite well, but it of course could have gone bad, like any other fan can.

What did you find out about noise levels of other case fans by stopping them temporarily?

That's an off-brand generic power supply; average at best. It may be working OK or not. Is the power supply fan a source of your noise?

What are your ears telling you about noise location when running the PC with the side panel off?

I've seen noise and vibration caused by hard drives shaking very very slightly in their mounts. Sometimes this can be eliminated by either pushing firmly against the hard drive to cause it to move very slightly or by adjusting the tension on the drive mounting screws.

Hi not had chance to test the fans one by one yet and sorry about the movment it's only millimetre not centemeter

Your video card requires a min of a 500w power supply. To me that means 750w power supply of quality or more. My three brands of choice are Antec, Corsair, and Seasonic. A power supply should meet your needs for today effortlessly and room to grow for tomorrow.
You have been give many good method of chasing the noise down. Only your eyes and hears can do that.

I have found the problem it was a case fan that had a wobble so i just changed it and now all is ok.
