ok so i had windows xp and win seven dual booting on two 5000gb seperate drives working great
my motherboard went down it was replaced with a diff motherboard so i had to reinstall on new board plus two smaller 160 sata drives because the new board only has one ide instead of two anyway after alot of moaning and groaning to the makers of board they suddenly have found me a replacement board which i first had
my question is will this cause problems when clean installing again back onto a a new board and my 500gb drives which was original config i am thinking microsoft will think i am trying to fiddle the system installing back onto my what would seem my original board and drives however i do have proof of the agro i have had a multitude of to and fro emails from me to them and back again

thanks for any input

Only thing I can think of issue wise would be activation problems (this depends on your Windows licensing). If you have to call Microsoft than no big deal

Only the OEM version of Win7 is locked to hardware.

If your XP is OEM, the worst that should happen is you have to speak to MS person to explain the situation.

But replacement of exact same mobo rarely causes even that.

As the prior two posters indicate, you will be ok. If you do have to call make sure that you have all pertinent key numbers available.
