Aero Error or theme error...

Hello I was just coming home of from a 3 week at my big bro's house, and then I came home turned on my computer and the aero or all the themes worked and then the other day it suddenly didn't work, either Aero, Windows Basic theme or any other theme than Windows Classic Theme.

Please help me, thanks.

The first two things that come to mind are running the Windows Experience Index (WEI), and opening an elevated command prompt (right click command prompt and click Run as Admin) and typing SFC /scannow. It will attempt to repair any corrupted system files and will tell you if it can't. I would try running as many time as necessary until it gives you a clean bill of health.

If you did both things I suggested (you did do both right), then I would do a system restore to the earliest available date, or to right before you left if that date is available.
