I recently installed Windows 7 and have been using the "Windows 7" Aero theme without any problems. Today, using Firefox, I browsed to a site with a live Real video stream. I got a notification from the Desktop Window Manager (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons) that said something like "Firefox has temporarily changed the color scheme." After this, I noticed that the Aero features were disabled: no transparent borders on windows, no thumbnails when hovering over the taskbar, etc.. FYI I am using RealMedia Firefox plugin.
The only way I could restore the Aero features was to exit from Firefox. Is there more convenient method?
Also, shouldn't Windows warn me that a program is about to change the system in this way, and allow me to decide whether I want to allow it?
