Aero features work for Aero Themes but not for My Themes

I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional and used Double Driver to reinstall all my drivers. Everything works fine with one exception. When I switch from the default Aero Theme to one of My Themes, the Aero features no longer work (i.e. transparency, thumbnails on the taskbar, ect.) Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Are the "My Themes" 3rd party custom themes?

They aren't third party, they're simply themes I've created under the My Themes section from pictures on my hard drive.

Did you save them as .themepacks before you reinstalled?

And how are you installing them.

Somehow they started working. I'm not sure why. I just hit browse under My Themes and created them from folders in my My Pictures file.
