Hello,my laptop is Acer Aspire 1660 with Ati Radeon 9700. Radeon 9700 is supposed to be able to support Aero, right? But since i used win7 on laptop, i can't activate the Aero peek or any functions, not even the transparency effect. So, can anyone give me a suggestion

If you look in the Control Panel, there is a trouble shooter option. You might try the Aero troubleshooter to see if it helps.

Some programs will keep aero from working, do you get any messages about some program not being compatible?

You may need to run the Windows Experience evaluation. Try that and let us know what rating you get..

I agree with the other suggestions here - try the aero troubleshooter and see where it gets you. Also, you might need to update your video card driver in order to run Aero. See this resource in order to update the drivers for your video card: Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly.

Let us know what happens!
