I'll start out by saying, Great forums ya got here! Been helpful on tons of things so far w/ all my windows 7 lil quirks and bugs.

I looked around on Aero threads and tutorials and tried to find out how to get my Aero to disable when unplugged from ac power. When I installed win7 and used it for the first few days, Aero would disable itself evey time we went to battery power.
I then changed the background appearance/theme goofing off w/ the "Personalize" menu, and from then on Aero function stays on no matter what power source.

#1. Will Aero being disabled while on DC power save battery time?
#2. How do I get is to auto-disable itself again?

Thanx a ton everyone! :)

Disabling Aero while on battery will conserve laptop battery power.
Did you change the Power Options from Balanced to High Performance? The High Performance option keeps Aero abled under AC and battery.

Nope, didn't mess around w/ any power settings till after I noticed Aero staying on, Currently I am running the Power saver, Power plan and still aero stays enabled.
