Aero Snap question.

I am only able to snap windows to the left or right side of the screen. Dragging a window to the top maximizes it again. I thought I read somewhere that with Aero Snap you could snap to the four corners so that if you wanted you could have four windows one in each corner. I can't seem to do that. Is this a feature in Aero Snap or is two windows side by side all it can do?

Aero snap is side by side. The easy way, though, is press the windows key, and then use the left and right arrows, not the ones on the number pad.

True, I'd also update your GPU drivers to make sure you are running WDDM 1.1 drivers; these lower memory usage as Win 7 renders to GPU only, not GPU + RAM as in Vista, hence more explorer windows will not cause increases in memory if you have 1.1 drivers.

Then you should know that Win+Spacebar is the same as Aero Peek too.

Thanks.:geek:
I actually just went to the MS site and found the master listing of all the keyboard shortcuts, and added it to my bookmarks toolbar. I'm accustomed to using the mouse, but I guess I should learn the alternatives, just in case....or at least know where to find the list in a hurry.:)

Interesting, I don't use the mouse except for basic clicking - keyboard is much more natural.

I knew the keyboard short cuts already. I was just wondering about being able to snap to each corner.

There is a program I'm looking at that nicely improves Aero Snap I will probably try it out. It lets you snap to four corners or top and bottom plus gives you control over various other Aero Snap settings. Nice thing is that it works on 2000, XP, Vista, and 7. It's called AquaSnap
