Aero Theme Problems

Hey, I uninstalled the driver and now my graphics card cannot be recognized. I checked Display it says it is '1. (Default Monitor) on' and the highest res is 1600 x 1200. I tried an autoscan detect it on the website to try detect it but it said it could not find the hardware.

I explained this in last post. Complete those steps without panic or diverting in the midst of them.

Is there still only one Display driver in Dev Mgr? What driver name and version?

Did it default to onboard chip?

Now enable Auto Hardware Updating to see what driver Win7 wants via Updates.

I'm so sorry I forgot to do that I have the update installing now and I'll let you know what happens thank you very much for your time and help

Have you run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to know for sure the card is fully supported for Win7?

Do you have another video card to try to see if this is the card's fault?

Otherwise if Desktop Windows Manager is showing not started in Aero Troubleshooter then it could be corruption in the OS. I would run System File Checker, possible Repair Install or even reinstall to check for sure - from Troubleshooting tutorial below.

You could even shrink C to do a quick install, install network driver if necessary to get online, in Devices and Printers rightclick on PC to set hardware updating to Auto, do all Updates, then see if Aero works. This may actually save time. If Aero works you can transfer over your files and gradually install your programs, then we'll help you get rid of the old OS when ready.

Hey, I have tried a repair install before and also a reinstall. I'll try get my hands on another card sometime in the near future and see if it's the card. Thank you for all your help.
