No it will not work faster. You have it all backwards. Without Aero the GUI of your computer is going to be using the CPU. You are in fact slowing your computer down. Aero itself runs on the GPU all of those pretty effects and transparency take zero CPU time its all rendered on the GPU must like video games.

I figured out why it said aero wasn't supported because there is no driver for it's use with the motherboards video card.
