After Effects error, LucidSvc is the culprit!

LucidSvc, by LucidLogix, is a component used by the VirtuMVP program, which is a program that came along with my MSI motherboard. The program raises FPS in some games, and increases performance.

I discovered that LucidSvc was causing an error with AfterEffects CC, that causes it to freeze on the splash screen. I've tried opening AE with LucidSvc on and off in Services, and it's clear that Lucid is the culprit here!
Just putting this out here. Can anyone tell me why, and how I may fix the error without needing to disable LucidSvc?

According to the information provided by Lucid: "Virtu takes care for all 3D graphics traffic in your system." Adobe AfterEffects is a 3D Graphics Program as far as VirtuMVP is concerned, so it is trying to determine what gets rendered and which graphics chip it gets rendered on (assuming you have integrated graphics and an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card).

AfterEffects quite obviously doesn't like VirtuMVP intercepting its 3D Graphics Traffic and that is why it crashes. AfterEffects will be written to take advantage of a PCIe Graphics Card over Integrated Graphics. So what VirtuMVP is doing is basically saying "nope you can't access that graphics card because I said so" and AfterEffects takes a hissy fit and crashes.

Wow. Programs are so much like us in some ways. Maybe we will live hand in hand someday? Either that, or doom robots from the future.

Thank you for the answer, by the way. I'm not sure if Virtu has a black list of sorts, but I'll check.

Np, the website also mentioned being able to add in games that weren't in the supported list:

"Virtu products support hundreds of games that are routinely tested and in Lucid labs. However, it is always possible to add new application or game to your application list and provide it with your defaults (such as which GPU to use and what performance features to use). New applications can be added manually if it is missing in your control panel under Application Tab."

I suggest you add in AfterEffects and see if there is a way to tell it not to look at it when it is running and leave it alone, or maybe just telling it to use the PCIe Graphics Card may work, not being familiar with the software I don't know what will solve the problem.

All I know is that in MSI Afterburner which is powered by RivaTuner there is a way to add a program to the list and turn off framerate monitoring for it, so I would assume that there would be a similar feature in VirtuMVP, like a bypass I guess.
