the game appeared with two gigantic black bar at left hand side and also right hand side..made the game display much smaller..

You have to set a resolution in the game matching the aspect ratio of your monitor.

If you can't do that for whatever reason, you're out of luck. The only option then is scaling and that will make a normal square appear distorted to a rectangle.

Yes, I know it worked on Vista. On Vista, it was distorted.

Windows 7 uses WDDM 1.1 and is correct in displaying games.

It is your game that has the issue if it can not set a resolution with same aspect ratio as your monitor.

why would you want that?

yes, try turning off GPU scaleing in your GPU driver settings

your screen may also have aspect ratio scaleing

like Dota or underground 2..
they just cant go full screen..

so, is possible to make the game in Window 7 distort?

GPU setting means the current graphic card setting right?
can a program like Catalyst control center change the setting?(my current graphic card software I think)how?

your answer perhaps is too techinical for a beginner like me to understand..
thank you very much for the kind reply:)
