Hello everyone! Yesterday after restart windows 7 it self has changed the background to default ASUS wallpaper. And as bonus i got taskbar with enabled option "auto-hide the taskbar". When I change everything back to normal, all seems to be alright, but, unfortunately, after the next restart it is like before..
System:
ASUS X5DIJ, Win7 Home Premium 64bit

I hope you guys can help me to solve this problem, because it really starts annoying me.

Thanks!

Disable all the startups (not the AV program though) and reboot and see whether that's better. If yes, you have to scout for the startup that does that.

do you have a registry cleaner running on your computer, if yes, it might be restoring defaults, or something of the sort.
even a tweaking program might have done that.
if the above is correct, try rebooting, change the computer as you would like it, and reboot right away, before a program can restore it again, if the computer starts as you left it, then what i wrote is correct.

Sleep mode awake is different than reboot. When you awake from sleep mode, you essentially continue from where you left it before sleep.

this laptop has become mysterious.. now all is fine, although i did nothing. whether I restart or turn it on, taskbar stays up all the time and I have my old background. really it`s surprising, because I haven`t done anything. I`ll inform if something will change. Thanks anyway for so fast response.
