Hi
I have Toshiba Satellite A505 running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Original
And am using truecrypt to encrypt the system (it was working fine for few weeks)
my system was running fine untill i got BSOD with Error: BAD_POOL_CALLER
and upon reboot i ended up with a frozen boot screen with no access to the bios or any of the possible boot devices.
i couldn't go beyond the initial logo screen, pressing F2 (to go into the bios options) did not work. the only keys that worked were ctrl-alt-del to reboot the hardware which would again bring me back to the same screen. i could not even open the cd player in order to try booting the truecrypt repair disk. everything was frozen !
anyway after trying many things i find out that the problem was from the hdd and if i remove it i can access the bios and after searching forums i find that changing the 'sata mode' option in bios which was set to "ahci" to "ide" allowed the booting process to proceed beyond the sticking point until i finally got to my truecrypt password prompt
now someone told me that i have to follow the steps in this link
Error message when you start a Windows 7 or Windows Vista-based computer after you change the SATA mode of the boot drive: "STOP 0x0000007B INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE"
to be able to choose "ahci" again and boot normally
but i wanted to know what caused the system to crash in first place and if its related to truecrypt (so i get rid of it) or its another software or driver
i attached the required files mentioned in the Posting Instructions
if someone could have a look at them and help me out
thanks in advance for ur help

It appears that truecrypt caused the crash. I don't use encryption software, so I can't recommend any solutions (other than getting rid of the encryption software).

Also, please remove or update these older drivers that were loaded at the time of the crash. Don't use Windows Update or the Update drivers function of Device Manager.
Please use the following instructions to locate the most currently available drivers to replace the one's that you uninstall OR remove:
How To Find Drivers:
- I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box below. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html

Here's the older drivers (You can look them up here: http://<a href="http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html" target="_blank">Driver Reference</a>Driver Reference ).
Please pay particular attention to any dated 2008 or earlier:
Code:
klbg.sys Mon Dec 15 11:41:13 2008 - Kaspersky Lab Boot Guard Driver - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#klbg.sys
lmimirr.sys Tue Apr 10 18:32:45 2007 - RemotelyAnywhere Mirror Miniport Driver or LogMeIn Mirror Miniport Driver - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#lmimirr.sys
LMIRfsDriver.sys Mon Jul 14 12:26:56 2008 - RemotelyAnywhere Mirror Miniport Driver or LogMeIn Mirror Miniport Driver - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#LMIRfsDriver.sys
RaInfo.sys Fri Jan 04 13:57:14 2008 - LogMeIn/RemotelyAnywhere Kernel Information Provider - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#RaInfo.sys
teamviewervpn.sys Thu Dec 13 04:22:09 2007 - TeamViewerVPN Network Adapter - http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html#teamviewervpn.sys
Please do this to rule out issues with Kaspersky:
Anti-Virus Removal:
Please do the following:
- download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
- uninstall the Kaspersky from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
- remove any remnants of Kaspersky using this free tool: Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products
- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
- check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
