AHCI Version 6.0 outdated causing BSOD?

I found the my AHCI version driver is 6.x where as the latest version is 9.x. Although I don't understand that very much, but I need help finding a driver I can download and install. Possibility someone can help me?

This is concering with BSOD's.

A few errors I can remember are BSOD stop errors:

-0x000000D1
-0x000000D7

Yeah, I know what it is.
In the BIOS, you enable AHCI, Install Windows 7 and it loads the AHCI driver.
You're done, in terms of the AHCI driver.

If you give an explanation of what you're trying to do, we can save you some headaches.

exactly, in order to get results we need info.

go to your chipset manufacturer and download there chipset drivers, usually Intel or AMD

I'm trying to update from version 6.x to 9.x. I have, the driver downloads are only for Vista_32 not W7_64.

The motherboard has the Intel G33 chipset on it. Just use this,

Intel® Driver Update Utility

and let it detect and install what is needed.

yes, try that Intel driver and boot into safe mode by pressing f8 at the select which windows to boot into screen.

and if you can find a Vista x64 driver, use that.

Windows 7 is a slimmed down vista. they share almost everything, there so simular it's insane.

What error message are you getting because if your crashing every 2 minutes you've got more wrong than an AHCI driver problem, not saying it isn't that driver or possibly another driver causing it to crash.

I got fed up with it. Saying it crashes every 2 minutes is being far too generous. It crashes within seconds most of the time. I took it to a local professional computer repair store. They have 20 out 22 ratings of 5 stars on Google Maps. They told me they have never not been able to fix a computer since they have been in business. They are very honest about their prices as well. Like you said above, I probably have more problems than what's noticeable. They will tell me everything that's wrong with it, and they will fix it (if possible) after they have contacted me.

What error message I'm getting? There are many, many error messages. Mostly stop messages saying memory corruption, power management failure, IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS..., Etc.

I have very few of the error messages on the first page.

The repair shop called me back on details about my computer. They were having a difficult time trying to determine the cause of the excessive amounts of BSOD's. They had told me my motherboard has a critical failure. They weren't surprised considering they told me that my motherboards manufacturer has been known to often have many failures. My motherboard is a DDR2 foxconn. They will be upgrading my motherboard to a DDR3 compatibility that supports my current processor. I will also need to buy three sticks of 2GB DDR3 RAM, costing at $25 each.

The total estimated cost is $270.
-$120 Labor (Analyze/Diagnose, Installation, Cleaning, etc.)
-$75 DDR3 Motherboard
-$75 2GB DDR3 RAM (x3)

From my computer knowledge and experience, these prices are very honest. If I took my computer to Geek Squad at Best Buy, it will be well over $400.

Got another update. They installed everything listed above. They needed to reinstall Windows 7 on a clean hardrive in order for my computer to support the new motherboard. Unfortunately they told me they cannot install Windows 7 because the BSOD's are still occurring. They believe that it's an example of extremely bad luck by getting another faulty motherboard. They said they will keep trying and trying until my computer is fixed.
