Is there a sort of alarm clock in Windows?
I mean that sort of thing that I set e.g. to 3:15 pm and it goes off and displays a notice that reminds me of what I wanted to do at that time.

I seem to remember that there was a thing like that in Win 95, but it was dropped in WinXP and I haven't found it anymore since then...

I did a google search, and it came up with tons of junk. So I thought I'd rather ask in a forum which is known to give professional help ;)

Thanks for the links. I was hoping that there was an on-board solution, I don't like to have a lot of little apps running in the background. But I'll check out those you recommended :)

If you wish to use a native solution other than the Task scheduler, you can always have a look at desktop gadgets - I used to use a gadget called Sphere Timer - check out the MS gallery - other options are also available

What a fantastic suggestion, i have been looking for a more elegant solution than task scheduler, and since vista have been a gadget convert!
