All drivers need to be reloaded due to hdd failure

I have a compaq CQ57 that had a catastrophic failure of the 500gb hdd. I lost everything. The local shop sold me a new 500gb hdd and gave me a disc to reload my Win 7 32 bit to get me restarted. It worked great after I loaded my Win 7 product key. The disc obviously did not contain any drivers as I now have a new system with no drivers. I cannot get out on the internet to download as I have no network adapter driver. I obviously need to download the drivers using another pc to a usb stick. Where do I go to get the drivers and how do I go about downloading them to a stick?

Hi there Welcome to Seven Forums .. If you have an Earthnet cable try connecting that boot your Laptop and see if Windows will Install the Driver .. You can get your Drivers from the HP website .. But you will need to know the exact Model number .. The model number you have described has some numbers missing

I had tried the Ethernet cable direct to the router but it failed due to the missing driver for the network adapter. You are correct that if I can get to the WEB I can download the missing drivers. Hence the attempts to get at least the one driver to get me out!! Even the built in wireless adapter doesnt work. I am going to try and borrow an external usb wireless dongle and load the driver for that.
Yes There are more number to the laptop. It is a Presario cq57 307TU. I have logged on to the Presario website successfully. I was looking for a download of all drivers that I could copy to a dvd that I could insert in the laptop. Is there such a download?
