Today I went to listen to an album I have on my extra Seagate storage hard drive (which clocks in at around 1.5 terabytes). I've listened to this album countless times, but it's been a long while since I chosen this particular one. When trying to either "play all" using Windows Media Player or just selecting an individual MP3, I get the following error message:
Any thoughts why this isolated folder of MP3 just seems to have died with no explanation or anything outside the folder being affected apparently?
Thanks!
I Google this, and some folks thought that booting into safe mode might remove any type of software conflicts that could be causing it. That didn't help. I thought perhaps the HDD was going bad, so I ran a "Long Generic" test using SeaTools for Windows and it passes with no problems. I also opened every album in and around this one as well as several other areas of the drive I'm finding zero issues with other MP3s or files."Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."
Any thoughts why this isolated folder of MP3 just seems to have died with no explanation or anything outside the folder being affected apparently?
Thanks!
