Random WMP Error, Due to HDD Failure?

Today I went to listen to an album I have on my extra Seagate storage hard drive (which clocks in at around 1.5 terabytes). I've listened to this album countless times, but it's been a long while since I chosen this particular one. When trying to either "play all" using Windows Media Player or just selecting an individual MP3, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."

I Google this, and some folks thought that booting into safe mode might remove any type of software conflicts that could be causing it. That didn't help. I thought perhaps the HDD was going bad, so I ran a "Long Generic" test using SeaTools for Windows and it passes with no problems. I also opened every album in and around this one as well as several other areas of the drive I'm finding zero issues with other MP3s or files.

Any thoughts why this isolated folder of MP3 just seems to have died with no explanation or anything outside the folder being affected apparently?

Hello mate just one suggestion is that you run this on the drive concerned
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

Now in your case you need to swap the C: in that command line to the drive letter of the drive that has the issue ie if the drive letter is G: then you would type in chkdsk G: /f /r

In my pic I have just done this on a stick drive so that you can see what I mean
