I solved all kinds of software problems instantly when I uninstalled Computer Associates security suite. For some reason, once that program is installed, there is no way to turn it off. And, it wreaks havoc on software installations. Once I uninstalled it, all of my Windows 7 software installation woes were gone. Go figure!
Now I am trying the Symantec/Norton. I will keep everyone posted as to how that goes. So far, so good.
