Solved All my browsers hack up some text

Noticed this before, all 3 browsers, IE, Chrome & Firefox always mangle some words. i.e. in one headline today there is "Texas A&M fires Sherman", when it should be "Texas A&M fires Sherman". Anybody else had this happen to them and if so did you find a solution. Tx

Regarding this particular case, judging by numerous google results we can safely assume that some news agency messed up that news headline and other websites, as usually, copied&pasted without thinking.
Your browsers are fine.

To confirm that create a test.txt file with this line in there:
Texas A&M fires Sherman
save it and rename to test.html

See attached thumbnail. Same error. (The link was Google.com under ESPN)

Of course, there will be that thing in my post, because it typed it as a text!
I think you misunderstood my instructions.
There is a file in archive in attachment. Please open test2.html file in any browser and post a screenshot of it.

OK here is what I see, not following this at all

You weren't seeing garbled text - he really did type "Texas A&M fires Sherman" with an A, an ampersand, the letters "amp", a semicolon and a capital M.

What he wanted you to do is put that same text string into Notepad, save it as an HTML file and open the file in your browser - which would then correctly show "Texas A&M", thus proving that your browser is working correctly and it's the website's fault for putting the text up wrong.

(In fact, the character sequence & is HTML code for displaying an ampersand sign.)
