Hi everybody:)

When i run an aero theme, all my text dissapears, it turns transparent, in 'my computer' and all local files. I can see through the letters and see be background.
How do i get back my text so i can actually read it again?

To clarify:
I were setting up my desktop to my liking. i went and found my old .dream to get as the wallpaper, all was fine until i wanted to get rid of icon text. I went and disabled dropshadow, and then this happened; all text in documents goes transparent. I am clueless as to what might be the problem. I have tried to upgrade my graphics driver, i tried 'find and fix...' .. nothing..

I hope this forum might have a solution as to what can restore my text.

Cheers:)

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

I think your best bet is a system restore to a point before you installed your wallpaper, and then just stick to an aero theme. If you don't like the ones that came with Windows 7, there are plenty more to be had from Microsoft online.

I am currently trying to figure out how to do a system restore to such an early point.

When i search for restore points, i do not get any resulsts that date back to when i did the changes. How can i restore my system to a much earlier point?

There are several things to consider.

1. How much drive space you allocate to shadow storage in percentage terms.

2. How many restore points you already have.

3. How far back in time you want to restore to.

Shadow storage occupies hard drive space and once that space is filled up Windows will delete the oldest restore point. If the restore point in question has been deleted then there is no way you can restore back to that time.

A system restore was about the only suggestion I had so I'm hoping someone else has got some ideas.

I think you're probably right so man up and get it over with. :(

When you have re-installed everything to your liking your best bet is create a full system image backup so that if you meet further problems in the future a restore from your backup doesn't take long and cures the problems.
