Alltel Connection help

Hi, i recently bought a laptop with the windows 7 upgrade thingy, and i have just recieved it. Everything was working fine until i figured out my internet wouldn't work. Im using a cell phone and Axcess MobileLink software and it worked fine for my vista, but now it wont connect with the phone. Can someone give me adivice on what to do? I dont know if its not compatible with windows 7 or if it is my computer. I'm running 64 bit home Premium windows 7. thanks in advance

Your vista must have been a 34 bit OS. The mobilelink (for Alltel) is not available for 64 bit systems. I have not tried to bypass the program by setting up without the usb connector and the software through bluetooth. I do connect my 32 bit laptop to my LG 8600 phone using Bluetooth, (my usb adapter bit the dust) but I use my axcess software.

Interesting. I will try to use it at home with 64 bit this coming weekend.

If you can connect your phone to your laptop via bluetooth, try then clicking on the phone icon in your bt folder, this should bring up a dialing box. Your ID or name is your 10 digit cell phone #, the password is alltel, all lower case, the number to dial is #777

Yeah i got a 64-bit os, but in the month or so before i got windows 7, i had vista 64-bit installed. Installed quicklink mobile and it worked fine. Note: i did install all 64 bit drivers and had everything running fine. i contacted alltel but havent heard back. Is the update not out yet?
