Solved Am I crazy??

I thought there was a setting in the slide show (for wallpapers) that allowed for changing wallpapers like photos change in the screensaver (fade, etc.) But, either this setting doesn't exist, or I've lost it somehow. If it does exist, how could I get it back??

I don't believe it existed with the built-in program, but it probably does in a third-party one.

Are you asking how to change the desktop wallpaper with selected images every few minutes?



Right Click on your desktop and Choose "Personalize"

Click "Desktop Wallpaper" at the bottom of that window.

In "Picture Location" section, choose the folder you want or browse for it, and place a check on all the pictures you want included in your Walpaper.

At the bottom of this Window you will see the options you are refering to, after you choose 2 or more pictures.

Change Wallpaper every "x" Minutes, and to the right of that the option to shuffle as well.

I know about those options - but, I thought (and I'm evidently wrong) that there was a way to have the screensaver photos use the same options (fade, etc.) that the screensaver has.

nope only way to swap wallpaper every few seconds or minutes is to aquire window themes or make you're own

The windows theme's actually work like a screen saver to reduce screen freeze on you're lcd or a burnt image persay

Hello Robert,

If you checked the Turn off all unnecceassary animations box in the Ease of Access Center, or unchecked the fade option in the Visual Effects settings, then this will also remove the fade effect in the desktop slideshow.

Thank you, Shawn!!! It was the "Turn off all unnecessary animations" box - that's what did it. I was going bonkers trying to figure that out. Thanks again.
