AMD Catalyst Help

I accidentally uninstalled AMD Catalyst when trying to update the graphics drivers and I cant seem to get the program back. I have the new HP Pavilion dv6t quad and it uses that program with the switchible graphics (GPU). I have downloaded the AMD Catalyst Software Suite and the installation for the ATI 6770m, neither installed correctly. Can I have some help with my problem (reinstalling AMD Catalyst)?

If you have enough restore points I'd be inclined to carry out a system restore to a point before you uninstalled AMD Catalyst.

Is there any particular reason why you wanted to update the graphics drivers?

As far as updating goes you're probably better off using HP driver updates as ones from the manufacturer may be configured differently, which could cause you problems.

You can not and will not be able to install the regular AMD driver on that laptop as you found out, and the reason is due to the switchable graphics. You could possibly modify the INF in the AMD install files, but if the driver then installs it will either not work properly or at all, and you will lose the switchable graphics.

The only driver update for it that will install is whatever HP decides to put out as it will have been made to work with the switchable graphics.

Can I restore just that one file? (I just got the laptop on Tuesday)
