Since I couldn't get specs on the AMD Turion in terms of cache, etc. (the Intel one in the title is 2M Cache, 2.20 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) I couldn't figure out which is the better processor.

Does anyone know? Is there also a website I can reference that can compare them?

both Intel and AMD have processor specifiction sheets on their websites, give them a try :)

AMD's site told me two of 3 categories, it didn't tell me what it's FSB was, whatever that is, oh well.

Cute avatar, sweetie. Anime rocks.

here is a set of bench marks, you can compare the 2 processors PassMark CPU Lookup hope this helps :)

I'm a little confused though...

It seemed that by that chart, it's greatest to least in descending fassion, however the T660 has like 1700 MHz whereas the AMD is over 2000 MHz. This is average CPU speed.

But this isn't the numbers you see on the far right of the bars - I don't know what those are supposed to represent anyway.

what the chart says is that the T6600 is better than the AMD chip performance wise so between the 2 chips i personnally would choose the T6600 ;)

Yes but what numbers are you going by? The ones on the right side next to the bars?

Because when I place the mouse cursor on the specific processors, I'm reading a faster CPU speed on the AMD. Again, not sure what the fvck is going on or what that means.

The numbers on the right are the result of testing the cpu's with PassMark's testing software. The higher the number the "better" the cpu is. You can read about their software here: PassMark PerformanceTest - PC benchmark software

The results don't necessarily mean that a given cpu is better than another at every single task or application, but the large difference between the two cpu's you're considering is significant. More cpu cycles per second don't always mean faster performance, there are many other factors like cpu architecture, cache size, FSB speed, etc.

pebbly's right, pick the T6600...
