amdxata.sys?

what is amdxata.sys? can i remove it? tony said that this is one of the reasons why i got some bsods. I'm using an Intel processor

amdxata.sys Tue May 19 18:56:59 2009 is, I believe, a system file.

I think it's an anomaly with WinDbg because mine is as above in a forced .dmp file.
But if I right click the actual file and check its properties it states:

[B]Created:  13 ?July ?2009, ??22:59:32
Modified:  14 ?July ?2009, ??02:52:21
Accessed:  13 ?July ?2009, ??22:59:32[/B]

Leave it as amdxata.sys.

Even though that driver is dated prior to July 13, 2009, it is fine. There is no update and it runs fine in Win 7. Fimble is right; leave it.
