Amount of Memory Geforce 8400M GT

When i try the to install the new version of the chipset drive give me the mesage that i dont have a device compatible with the driver i am triyng to install.

That's strange...

Could be due to licensing restrictions between Intel and Sony in that the reference Intel drivers won't install on a Sony computer. ATI and Nvidia have the same sort of thing in regards to most their mobility video cards/chipsets, that's why a modded INF has to be used in most cases to get the drivers to install.

If that is what is happening with the Intel Update utility, I wouldn't even want to begin to try and modify the INF's for all the bits and pieces that would need it.

As far as increasing the amount of memory the video card can use this probably sums it up best,

I realize that is for Intel graphics, but I have a feeling that is what is happening with that 8400M.

If that is what is happening with the Intel Update utility

It seems it is for him, which is why it's strange, as it installs for me with no issues, but if he's getting an error message telling him he doesn't have an intel chipset, then I have no idea why that would be?

I think that is equal stormy say, is dinamyc memory, the system choose where is neded, the problem is that, when i am playing GTA4 the system dont give more memory and apear that i have only 133mb for graphic.

In the link above have a relation between ur system memory instaled and the memory u will have in the end with a ATI Radeon video card, did u know this relation with my video card. I wanna know how much my video card will have of memory if i put 4gb o ram.

I was unnable to install because off my chipset ID's he is not listed in the chipsets of intel, that happens to with my video card, but with the video card was possible change the INF file, in chipset i try but not work .

Yes, but ur computer is an european version. And u have driver for Windows 7 x64, my have only drivers for Windows Vista on Sony Support.
