In our company we decided to upgrade our old Access 2003 at last. And after this upgrading I can’t load any .mdb files. They are inaccessible. Every attempt to open it is accompanied by an error: “An error occurred while loading Form_FormName. Do you want to continue?” If I click Yes, then pops up another error: “Invalid procedure call or argument”. Colleagues tell me that it a cause of corruption and that the cause is upgrading of the Access I want to know, is it true? Which follow-up actions do we make?
Later versions of Access use an .accdb suffix & not the .mdb suffix & this is the cause of your problem. As you mentioned updating from Access 2003 I assume you are now using Access 2013, so these websites might help you.
In the first one scroll down to the links contained in it & follow those as well. The second one may not be relevant but it does contain some info that might be of interest to you.
Repairing & Compacting the database is a good idea. To do that open your new Access database & then click on File & when that opens there is a box that says Compact & Repair Database, click on that, then return to the database.
To convert your existing .mdb files to the newer .accdb files follow the instruction in this MS website.
