.android - delete?

I have just recovered from a computerr virus. I'm trying to put folders that I copied and pasted onto a flash drive back into the no longer infected laptop.

This morning, I discovered that the Users/Appdata (and /Roaming) were missing. I found them in Users/.android, a folder I don't think was there yesterday (after the removal and cleanup had been done) and that I'm not familiar with.

Is it safe to move the Appdat/Roaming folders back up to Users?

Should .android be deleted, or is it a folder I just didn't notice before this and should remain?

You have been told on the other forum that .android was not infected. Please go back and re-read your 'topic' at Bleeping.

What other forum, Malwarebytes Malware Removal? The expert there said ".android is not a malware problem."

My AppData and Roaming content is missing and has been replaced with Windows-related folders, most of which are empty. Please help if you can.

My Users Folder now contains this:
Users / Myname / .android has spawned new folders with today's date.
All of the Users/.android/AppData folders and Users/.android/Roaming folders that were there this morning are gone.

.android contains AppData folder and two files: adbkey and adbkey.pub - all three have today's date.

AppData contains Local (which contains Microsoft which contains Window which contains Temporary internet Files) and
.
Roaming which contains only Dropbox.

adbkey and adbkey.pub are apparently a Windows Trojan. You probably have your own sources, but I got that suggestion by way of a Search on adbkey.

Hi, @Weston:

As @jacee aptly pointed out, it's inefficient, confusing and potentially damaging to work on the same computer problem simultaneously in multiple venues.
"Too many cooks...."

If you wish to be helped here instead of there, I suggest that you please ask "Twin" to close your topic at MBAM forum here, so that he can devote his volunteer time/effort to other users.:D

Otherwise, as @jacee suggested, please continue to work in your thread at the MBAM forum.

Thanks very much for your understanding,

MM
