I have an Asus TF300T tablet. Android Ice Cream sandwich 4.x.

What hotspot would work with my tablet ? Or would something else give me internet connectivity ? I want to be anble to password and control my own connection. Not borrow one, nor use an Internet cafe.

Most hotspots I've checked cost from $90 to $140. There is Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T in my area.

I live down by Biloxi, MS.

Thanks !

almost all smart phones have mobile hotspot functionality built in, if you've got the cheapest android phone to the most expensive iPhone, it'll have hotspot functionality.

I don't have a smart phone as I didn't want the 2 year contract. My tablet has the ability to do wireless. I just want to be careful and use passworded wireless. I can do that at home, I want to do it elsewhere to.

you don't need a contract for hotspot functionality, just a data plan on a pre paid sim will do the trick, just buy a second hand android handset at about $40 and pop a pre paid sim into it and you're away.

I have T-Mobile's 4g laptop dongle with 3.5 gigs of air time. No contract. Only programs on it are for Windows and the Macintosh.

It would be great if I could get it to work.

T-Mobile 4G Laptop Stick - Walmart.com
you should be able to create an ad-hoc network between the dongle and your Built in wifi connection, create it's very own hotspot.
