Anno 1404 Demo

Ubisoft has released a playable demo of Anno 1404, giving you the chance to try out the PC version of this game where players will get to know the culture and technology of the ancient Orient while learning the tricks of local trade, diplomacy and economy in order to build their own metropolis. Known in North America as Dawn of Discovery, Anno 1404 will be available on June 26th, for PC, Wii and DS.

sweet..well, i tested the Beta on WinXP at that time and it didnt have many options (just a few campaigns in singleplayer)..some textures were missing.. but the GUI was fine and the game ran maxed out 50fps...so that counts.. plus the water ripple effects were nice...ill be happy to try the demo and see how much we(they) have progressed since then...

Haha, so this demo is infact an updated beta ! Got the demo and its same omfg..even size..they just fixed things from the beta, added missing textures (for example the piers) and released it...now thats pretty smart..
but yeah, it looks good

Planning to buy Anno 1404,

But Just wondering if it is compatible with Windows 7 prosfessional 32 bit ? will install and work fine ?

Different forums say differently, some says graphics problem, compatibility problem, drivers needed, not supported by windows 7 cos totally different operating system with XP and vista etc ... Im totally confused.

Just updating and answering myself on the Anno 1404 question, found a bunch of people confirming, this game (box copy) will work on windows7, both 32 bit/64 bit.

This is a really fantastic game, I played 1701 and got addicted to it, but now that I installed windows 7, it wont work anymore, so hence getting the 1404, with even better graphcis and strategy challenges.
