Annoying BASS Bug,,,Ummm, Really Really Annoying Bass Bug.....

OK, I'm the only one with this issue that I could find...
Nobody on this forum has this, REALLY,,,,REALLY,,,,#@%&!#,,,,Annoying Bass bug problem...
Every time I start W7 the Bass is @ -12,,,,making my notebook sound tinny,,,,and I have beatsaudio in this and the sound is AMAZING,,,or should be at least,,,,if not for this Bass Bug up my (3 letter word, 1st letter begins with A).

There have been no hardware or software changes.
VLC is set to 0/0 (Bass/Treb)
WMP is set to 0/0
Power DVD is set to 0/0
I leave the Treb set to +4 and it stays there on the reboot, but the bass is @ -12 on the reboot.....

Any ideas or fix's, Reg repair maybe??!

Hi, the first thing to do with an issue such as this is to reinstall the sound drivers. Go into Programs and Features and remove the audio drivers. If nothing is listed there go to Device manager and remove the drivers there. Download the latest audio drivers from HP and try that. You may have a bug no one noticed. If you have the latest go back to the previous set of drivers. Post back your findings.

Of course their is no reg fix, the registry is not some magic powder that can fix bugs in drivers. The problem is in the audio drivers, not in Windows.

Try this, to see if one of the listed audio devices is causing the problem.

Disable all the devices in the Sound except the IDT and the AMD High Definition device (the AMD is for HDMI audio).

Set your bass and then restart the PC and see what happens. If disabling the other devices fixes it, start re-enabling them one at a time until you find the one that is causing the problem.

Fixed, now to find out why it happened.

Tried to delete the IDT driver via the 'Programs and Features' (User Account), it wouldn't delete, got some popup.
Tried to delete the IDT driver via the 'Programs and Features' (Administrator Account), got the same popup as well:

Instead of trying the Device Manager, I went into Safe Mode, and STILL got the same popup.
Deleted it from the Device Manager in Safe Mode.
Reinstalled it (HP SP56900) with no problems.
Fixed the problem,,,,,
BUT.
I want to know what happened and what exactly what that error code,,,,How did I get here?
I guess I'm looking for some preventative medicine if I should head down this path again, and how to recognize a potential issue.....
The only info I found had nothing to do with the error code 0x80070002 I received trying to remove/delete the program. All the info I found had to deal with doing Backups.
