Can't get rid of meaningless folders under my Personal Folder (Downloads, Favorites, Links, Download, My Pictures, My Music..), they keep keep coming back!

- I tried deleting them, after restart they are back!
- I tried renaming them, after a while they come back!
- I managed to hide them somehow in my normal window view, but in Navigation area they are still visible.

I don't want to see these folders as i have my own system.

PLEASE TELL ME, HOW TO GET RID OF THESE ANNOYING FOLDERS.

Is it possible to move them somewhere, for example "C:\Pointless New Win7 folders"?

Hello Funkyou,

Welcome to Seven Forums.

These are your personal folders. If a program wants to create it's own save folder say in the documents folder, this is where it goes. These must exist or these programs may not install correctly. The easiest fix is to relocate these folders to your corresponding folders. For Vista, but same in 7. Personal User Shell Folders - Move Location - Vista Forums

Hope this helps.

Gary

Edit: When you do this the folders should take on the new folder name also.
