Hello DurtyGemini, I'll try to help with your problems. First, I would like you to click in the bottom left of your post and look at your system specs and see if there is anything missing or that could be described better. We often have to look up a particular component and would like as many details as we can get that will enable us to do that. Please add anything we should know and anything like PSU, CPU Cooler or anything attached to your computer. I also would like to know if you have a previous thread. There was just something said that made me think it was possible.

Now, if you are overclocking anything, please set things back to stock values. I am not opposed to overclocking, but it just overcomplicates things when we need to get to you stable first. I would also like to have an idea of your technical experience

I would like you to give me a good idea of your CPU and GPU temps. EVGA has a good program, Precision X which allows custom fan profiles, on screen displays of different values that could keep you advised of what is going on at all times. Also get a good CPU Temp monitoring program.

Please uninstall all Gigabyte utilities, they are known BSOD causers.

Please open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.
