"c:\windows\system32\bcrypt.dll is either missing or corrupt please use original media to repair it... etc"

so i search online for bcrypt.dll and i found this site that you can download and install it bcrypt.dll file download - Download / repair / restore corrupt or missing bcrypt.dll file

but the instruction the site gives didn't work

Hey.

You can't just go willy-nilly downloading files for other operating systems and expect them to work, especially if they're not of the same architecture.

You could put a little faith in this, however. Run it from an elevated command prompt. You can copy and paste:

sfc /scannow

Sorry to hear about your problem, you could try:

sfc /Scanonce
And insert your windows 7 installation disk before rebooting.
