Hi all, and firstly MERRY XMAS
Ok, i just built a custom pc with these parts,

Windows 7 ultimate 64
intel i7 950 3GHz CPU
Gigabyte X58-USB 3 MB
12gig DDR3 ocZ Gold Ram
Gigabyte GT240 1gig graphics card
1 TB samsung HD's
Card reader
Otical drive
Cool master silent pro 500 PSU
Antec 300 case

Problem i am getting is upon booting up i get this message..
"Verifying DMI pool data..........."
I though it was suppose to say "update success" at the end but mine doesnt.
I have unplugged everything, cleared the cmos and still no update success.

Is this a problem as windows loads perfectly after this or is it something i should sort and if so how ?

Thanks for any advice given.

Kindest regards,

Vale.

DMI pool data is a BIOS problem update yours but make sure you have a backup and restore point just in case.

Also, i think it could be a HD issue, reason being... i stupidly installed W7 onto it from a doner PC incase i had cd or usb problems with the new build.
I was informed that the "hardware signitures" would be saved and wouldnt match the new machine so i would be better of formatting the HD and doing a fresh install from the new build the HD was intended for.
I did a format and installed it into the new machine.
When i booted up for the first time before even installing the OS i got this DMI issues followed by a bootmgr is missing, straight away, i unplgged the HD and rebooted, i got update success and then a message saying "disk boot failiure, insert system disk and press enter"
I then cleared cmos for 10 mins and reconnected the HD... same problem, no update and bootmgr missing.

So i rebooted, pressed F12 and loaded OS from bootable USB which installed no problem but when i reboot now i still get the verifying DMI pool data but dont get the update success. Windows still loads and everything from there appears fine ?

Boot order in bios is HD/CD/USB

What do you think peeps ?

OK i tried all options in the link provided but i still get the dmi issue of not a successful update ?

PC runs fine so should i just forget about it or is it somethng i should get sorted and if so what next to try ?

I read somewhere that the master boot record on the hard drive might need fixing or replacing ?

Does anyone have any ideas,

Thanks again ;)
