History: I have been using se7en since the beta was publicly released but recently updated to the rc. Since the update I have been battling the sleep issue on my HTPC.
Where I am now: I now have gotten the computer to sleep perfectly on the first sleep attempt. Meaning that on a fresh start up I can put the computer sleep at anytime and wake it up anytime and it all works flawlessly. the problem comes when I try to put it to sleep the second time. The comp shuts everything off (audio card, video card, network card, etc...) but will not shut the case fans off and will not resume.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

I am running
Windows 7
asus p5b
3 gb ram
160 gb hdd
500 gb hdd
1500 gb hdd
bgears b-enspirer
sapphire hd 2400

I have a similar issue that I reported as a bug on Connect. The feeling from the folks at Microsoft is that it's my RAID card (either the drivers or the RAID BIOS). FYI - I got a STOP 0xA0 (INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR) with the parameters being (9, c000000E, 1, 0). The Windows Debugging Tools Help file only lists the 1st parameter as 1 through 8 - so this parameter is likely a new one for Windows 7.

When you put it into sleep a second time, leave it there for 1/2 hour or so (there's supposed to be a 10+ minute watchdog that'll generate a memory dump file if the system doesn't go into sleep). Do you have any memory dumps (either in C:\Windows\Minidump or at C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmp ?

So, with that, I'd suspect that there's an issue with the BIOS or motherboard/chipset drivers (that's where the storage controller drivers are located).

I did what you suggested and not only did the computer not sleep, it crashed. I guess I never gave it enough time before.
It does create files in both the locations you proposed but I'm not sure what to do with those files.
