Another Windows network oddity

My wireless connection only connects when the network cable is connected. If I unplug the RJ45, the wireless won't connect. This is so dumb.

It sounds very much as though your wireless isn't working at all. The only other thing I can think of is have you got Bridging between your Cable and Wireless enabled? If so try disabling it, it may be that your Wireless is relying on your wired adapter for connection settings.
