sorry if i give you a bad translation, since all you see, my system is in spanish...

but the problem is; i did a registry cleaner(to erase some entries of a bad uninstalled software) (with comodo registry cleaner) after restart i notice that the antivirus and firewall icons on the clock area were gone, after couple of restarts they came back.... now the activity center flag is delayed (bt now i dont remember if it is normal or not) and once the flag is there i test the activity center by disabling firewall, then the flag come out with a red "x", but not with the antivirus.
In this picture, as you see
Clip3-61.jpg

i have disabled both, antivirus and firewall and it only shows the firewall as "important" message.

should not show the antivirus status as an important message too?

Do you by chance have multiple antivirus programs installed?

From your screen shot (and my very poor Spanish) it seems as though you're being warned that your antivirus is temporarily deactivated. That is different from not having any antivirus at all. Not having any antivirus would probably generate the Activity Center important message.

I'm officially confused. On one computer I have Microsoft Security Essentials. When I turned off real time protection, Action Center gave red alerts that my antivirus and antispyware were turned off and my computer might be at risk. My other computer has Comodo Internet security. When I turned off real time protection I got a red alert that the firewall was turned off and a yellow alert that the antivirus was temporarily deactivated.

Only explanation I have (and I might be wrong) is that different products alert in different ways.

exactly, it looks like different av's gave different alert to windows, but the weird thing here is that i can almost swear that i have seen a red alert when the antivirus (the same antivirus i have installed) is off
