Have asked this question under Setting up a home group without any success.
samuria tells me...
It's simpler to just use workgroup as that is active by default and less hassle than homegroup
WHY?
If I right click on a folder I get the option of
Share with Home group (read)
Share with Home group (read/write)
Were is the optiobn to share as a work group.
I only want to share a folder on a drive [Z] not the whole partiton.
Can anyone understand this?????
When I do go for home group (which I am advised NOT to do), I get a windows media interface asking to select pictures, music, videos etc. I just want to share the entire contents of that folder.
I am then asked to type in a bloody password. What password. These are home computers they don't have passwords.
