Any HULU Plus Subscribers out there?

I'm just wondering if $7.99 is worth the upgrade to HULU Plus. It seems to me that if they're going to charge a fee they can get rid of the commercials.

Does anyone recommend any other services or is HULU Plus a good upgrade?

If you don't have cable tv and don't mind using your computer as a tv, it's actually not too bad, they also carry a lot of shows on plus that aren't available with a free account. Stuff they do carry openly is available sooner.
If you have the internet connection for it, and the hardware for hd streaming. It's not too bad, I used it for two months while I didn't have cable tv and it wasn't too shabby.
Like all these services they are still adding stuff and trying to get things the way people like it though.
I still use netflix with little complaint. They've actually been adding massive amounts of stuff to the live streaming service lately. Which is available for about the same money.

I'd be hard pressed to tell you which is better for your personal situation as you didn't provide a lot of info to work with.

Hulu carries a lot of shows that you can view after 24 hours or so of airing on tv.
Netflix does not, that I have seen.

I do not pay for Hulu, but have thought about it. Not sure exactly how worth it is.

Might be worth it if they offer fairly new release uncut movies also. But I do not think they do.

At the moment I believe it is still limited to tv, but it does include cable shows like you would see on showtime, hbo, and stuff like that. Or at least it did when I was subscribed, it's been a bit.

Good info. I shouldve mentioned that I do not have cable tv. My HTPC streams hulu very well to my 42" plasma. I also have a 360 which streams netflix. So besides netfix I have no other media service, I suppose $8/mo wouldn't be too bad.

yeah it's basically like having a dvr that records almost all the shows whether you want them or not, then you just pick.

If nothing else you can always try it for a month and just dump it if you don't like it.
...it's not a contract or anything.

Why watch tv?

Im 16, i have no interest in watching tv. it is filled with commercials and shows that are interesting enough to sit there for 30 minutes at a time.
I spend most my time on the internet, socializing, reading, and learning.
the internet is like a never ending encyclopedia.

I am a Hulu Plus subscriber. I enjoy it because it allows you to go back and watch shows from the pilot in season 1 all the way to the last episode. There are a lot more shows that you have access to as a subscriber. In addition you can watch things in 720p HD, so its nice when your streaming to a TV. I think its worth the money.
