Any idea on how to increase my PC performance

Hello

I'm looking for some idea on how to increase my PC performance, without having to change the processor or motherboard.

My Motherboard is Asus P5B
6 gig ram
Processor Q6600 quad 2.4mhz
Graphic card; Asus eah4870
SSD drive 128G

- Is there faster memory that I could install?
- Overclocking?
- Tweak
- Software?

Any idea appreciate

Faster memory would make only a very small difference. More memory would help only if you are regularly using all 6 gigs of RAM now.

Overclocking can make a noticeable difference if it's a big overclock and you know what you are doing.

Tweak: unlikely unless you mean ordinary maintenance.

Software: no.

Has performance recently slowed down?

Or is it just several years old, performing about as well as it ever did, but you wish it was faster?

The former might be curable; the latter, not so much.
