Solved Any reason for 802.11n wireless router if ISP d/l speed is 10mbps?

I currently have a download speed of 10mbps from my Internet service provider. There are times my wife is streaming on one device, and I am streaming from another. All devices support 802.11n. My wireless router, however, supports up to 802.11g. This seems like a stupid question, but is there any reason to upgrade to a Wireless n router with this ISP throughput limitation?

In general I would say no if you are just talking about downloads.

But one benefit of Wireless-n is range. They send a better signal that could benefit reception and minimize drops.

But remember the other function is computer to computer connections over your LAN. So if you transfer large files, and your PCs have wireless-n and/or Gigabit NICs, then you will see a big performance boost inside your local network.
